Colorado Ski Country USA Recognizes Industry's Best

DENVER, Colo. - June 17, 2009 - Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) acknowledged Annual Colorado Ski Industry award winners on June 11th at its 46th Annual Meeting in Boulder. The industry trade group praised several snow maintenance professionals, athletes, instructors, and ski patrollers for their dedication to Colorado skiing and snowboarding.

BOULDER, Colo. - June 11, 2009 - Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) announced today at its 46th Annual Meeting, that its 22 member resorts hosted an estimated 6.79 million skier visits during the 2008-09 ski season. This represents a decrease of 6.9 percent, or approximately 500,000 skier visits, compared to last season, which was the second best season on record. Compared to the five year average, CSCUSA member resort skier visits are down only 3.9 percent.

The measure now makes its way to the Governor's desk for signing. Colorado Resorts Add Value, Reduce Prices for Next Season's Ski Passes

Colorado Ski Industry Shows Mid-Season Stability

DENVER, Colo. - March 12, 2009 - Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) announced today that skier visits at its 22 member resorts during the second period of the 2008-09 ski season, which counts skier visitation from January 1 through February 28, were off by 5.8 percent compared to last year's same period number. However, visitation is up slightly compared to the five year average for second period visitation, which includes three years that were the highest on record.
