COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo., June 14, 2007 - Today, at its 44th
Annual Meeting and Forum, Colorado Ski Country USA presented
Colorado Senate President Joan Fitz-Gerald with the Chairman's
Award, the organization's highest honor.
"Since Joan arrived in the Colorado Senate in 2000 she has been
very tuned into the nuances of our business," stated Chris Diamond,
Chairman of the Board of Trustees. "We commend her for her vision
and policy-making in the arenas of tourism funding, immigration,
renewable energy and forest health where she is closely aligned
with the ski industry's core values. Through her energy, her
excitement and her passion for politics, she has been a true force
of change."
