Colorado Ski Country USA Launches Skipool Campaign

Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) is encouraging skiers and riders to carpool to the mountains on Easter weekend as part of their new Skipool Campaign. From 6-9:00am on Saturday, March 22nd, CSCUSA, in partnership with Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and Starbucks Coffee, will provide ski carpoolers who meet at the Wooly Mammoth lot (Morrison Exit 259 off of I-70) complementary coffee, road condition information, and other incentives to show appreciation to current carpoolers and to encourage more drivers to carpool over the holiday weekend.

Ski Season Snowballs in Colorado
Release Date: 3/17/08

Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) announced today that its 26 member resorts have seen a better than expected increase in skier visitation through the end of February. In total, Colorado's ski resorts hosted an estimated 5,540,464 skier and snowboarder visits during the second period of the 2007-08 winter season, defined as January 1 - February 29, 2008. This is a 6.7 percent increase in skier visits to Colorado ski resorts for the second period and season to date, the industry is now within one percent of its record setting pace from last year.

Wheels in Motion to Bring Back Ski License Plate
Release Date: 3/06/08

In asking the state for a ski license plate, CSCUSA must submit an application that includes a list of 3000 names of individuals interested in a ski plate, to the Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR.) The signatures on the list must be people with a valid Colorado address.

Drive Under Way for Ski License Plate

In response to continued interest from Colorado residents, Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) announced today its involvement in an initiative to offer drivers a ski themed license plate for vehicles registered in Colorado. CSCUSA felt it was appropriate to play a role in working with the state to offer a ski plate because skiing and snowboarding are an integral part of Colorado's culture, heritage and economy; and because Colorado offers some of the best skiing and riding in the world.

Colorado Skier Visitation Reflects a Healthy Industry
Release Date: 1/17/08

Colorado Ski Country USA announced today its 26 member resorts reported solid skier visitation for the beginning of the winter season. Colorado's ski resorts hosted an estimated 2,873,363 skiers and snowboarders during the first period of the 2007-08 winter season, defined as October 10 - December 31, 2007. Although this is a decrease of roughly 12.5 percent from last season's record setting first period, this year's visitation numbers are more in line with a typical ski season.
