WHAT IT MEANS TO BE THE KING OF SPRING

2008 Closing Dates Announced at Colorado Resorts

DENVER, Colo. - April 2008 - It's spring. The temperatures are getting warmer. The sun is shining longer. And in Colorado, the skiing and snowboarding get even better.

Spring skiing in Colorado means heading up to the mountains and strapping on skis or a board just as the snow starts to soften in the mid-morning sun. It's about making great carves on fresh groomers, perfecting park games and pushing around late season powder. Spring skiing is about taking it easy, lounging in a lawn chair while enjoying a barbeque lunch, and then making a few more runs, tearing up the afternoon corn snow under bluebird skies.

With one of the best snow years in Colorado ski history approaching its twilight, now is the time for guests to grab their gear and head for the mountains. Fortunately it's easier than ever to be the king of spring, with resorts like Aspen Highlands, Wolf Creek and Monarch Mountain pushing their closing dates back. That means more sun, more barbeques, and most importantly, more skiing and riding.
